Benefits

The first year of a baby's life is critical for learning and development through receiving lots of love and positive stimulation.

At this time and during their early years their brains are developing at an incredible rate.  It is at this time they are trying to make sense of the world around them.

You could provide them with a sterile, brightly coloured plastic toy world or you could show them the real natural world i.e. outdoors.  Experiencing nature through seeing trees, plants, animals, feeling nature through the seasons and weathers, smelling nature through the seasons and so on.

There is so much stimulation through giving children an opportunity to experience the outdoors, away from the modern artificial environments.  In Scandinavian countries this is considered normal practice and Scandinavian countries are consistently acknowledged for having the best approach to education and learning.

Children (and adults!) have fun participating in our outdoor activities that will provide them with the learning opportunities as follows:

  • Activity-specific learning (varies depending on activities)
  • Social skills (mixing with other children and other parents / carers in an exciting outdoor environment)
  • Building of self esteem, self confidence and self belief (freedom to explore and to actively take part in activities with positive affirmation and reassurance)
